Mission :
The Specialized Researcher will work within the Controversy Database team under the Specialised Research Division. This research identifies companies involvement in ESG related controversies/allegations.

Under the direction of the Controversy Risk Assesment Product Manager and the Product Lead, the researcher will be responsible for:

Key responsibilities:

- Identify the involvement of a company in controversies/allegations
- Searching and selecting the necessary information from different stakeholder sources
- Consulting additional generic and sector specific stakeholder websites and documents
- Evaluating the level of involvement of a company in these controversies/allegations, assessing the severity of the cases, and the company responsiveness to the case, using the Vigeo Eiris methodology and specific guidelines.
- Identify allegations and controversies possibly leading to Client Alerts.

Skills and competencies :
• Experience with technical document research and information organization
• Understanding of and strong interest in sustainability / CSR / ESG issues
• Document research techniques and information organisation
• Collection and manipulation of quantitative and qualitative data
• Analytical, synthesis and composition skills
• Good master in written and spoken in English
• Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PPT)
• Organisation, Rigor and Method
• Team spirit, communication and good listening skills
• Ability to work autonomously, under the supervision and support of a team
• Ability to balance operational expectations with quality (time management)

- Student or just graduated. University Degree – ideally linked to SRI-ESG-Sustainability issues
- Interest in sustainable development and responsible investment
